My Mam is smarter than I will ever be.

I did. It’s called ‘This is my Journey’ and it takes a look at the journeys taken by two different people from diffferent parts of the world and the impact that the militarized border system has on their lives and their freedom to move.

I think I hit the nail on the head when I was 12 and I said ‘I don’t want to live in a world like this’.

I think I understood the facts when aged 14 I got up and asked a teacher ‘What is the point in growing up? If we all we ever do is try to fuck up other people’s lives?’.

Growing up it sometimes feels like a misinterpretation.

I just got another fucking wedding invitation from someone I knew when I was at school.

But I don’t want to kid myself. Some of those years were just plain hell.

They were just a mix of broken hearts, snotty noses, not enough gold stars.

Questions always stuck in my head like ‘Why haven’t I had sex yet?’.

Or stupid little things like ‘Am I cool?’. Kids can be so cruel.

And some of them they stay the same. They get trapped in this grizzly little game of bigger weapons, bigger bank accounts, bigger walls to help keep people out.

Stock investors, private firms. Longer fucking jail terms.

It is all giving me a headache.

9 will freeze to death on the streets of Calais tonight.

12 will suffocate just trying to get through.

Trapped in a system in which they are born to lose.

Look at what they make people do.

This is my new album. It isn’t really an album though because it’s only got 7 tracks.

Rock bands in the 70’s seemed to do that; make albums with only a few tracks.

Thus, this is my new 70’s rock album. It’ll be coming out next month, with 50 tapes and 50 hand-screenprinted cd’s available to purchase.
